I'd toyed around with trying to include SPG-62 into an enclosed mast but leaving room to move seemed difficult...I may be stuck with just the radars, or switch away from AEGIS

Image this is what I came up with. Structural supports for the SPY-1 top would go up the middle. probably could put some satcoms and surface radar inside the midsection.

I could try to put something together tonight, but I doubt why you would want it :P if you want to go that stealthy, you get close to zumwalt level stealth anyways......
and the weight of the thingie you drew up would go mad, I think :P
Drawings are credited with J.Scholtens
I ask of you to prove me wrong. Not say I am wrong, but prove it, because then I will have learned something new.

As I was drawing it, all I could think is "Topwieght...this is going to capsize my frigate...oh the topwieght.." and if it doesn't capsize it, it'll crush the superstructure. I'm going to go redo research on APAR..

That's...actually pretty interesting. I'd like to see what Erik thinks, he's pretty knowledgable in this kind of stuff.

I did fit it to the frigate, roughly amid the superstructure. Not sure it looks great, maybe I'll post just a pic of that

Warships are made to fight, not to win beauty contests. But there is something to be said about whether or not it looks like feasible engineering.
