And Im guessing that there are specific requirements for mounting such plates (size, number, location, spread)? I know that I am asking a lot of questions, but I simply can not find reliable info of zinc usage on large military vessels.

Try searching using the words 'anode' or 'cathodic protection' etc.

On small Fiberglas boats I have worked on we have them on the ruder, where the propeller is coming out of the hull and some on the keel if there are some metal there

to get an idea, I have included the full set of zincs on the redrawn OHP class. and indeed, every ship I have seen has an set, from my dads fiberglass sailing yacht, which only has the zincs and the prop as metal parts in the water, to the largest container ships or warships.

So its for protection from the blades or what? Ive seen them before but never thought they were important to notice.

Protection from corrosion. The hull and blades would degrade without there presence.

Yeah, I just hilighted the other because it was more visible. I tried to find a picture of the bilge keel and its several bands but found no photos.
