Looks really nice Lazer-One! Great job. A couple of things I noticed:

- On the last version, the all red version. She was painted red in 1998, maybe change the 1990 date to 2000.
- On the 1944 version if you wanted add a vintage helicopter, I attached a nice view of one below.
- On the 1972 and 1998 versions, the Big Mac had the Coast Guard logo on the stack along with the letters "E DC". See picture below.

Someone mentioned "no guns?" the Coast Guard ships in the lakes probably do carry some light arms, but none on deck and visible. Pretty peaceful here 8-)

She was built to keep the shipping channels open during the cold months at the beginning and end of the shipping seasons, to keep the passage open for iron ore freighters from the upper lakes to the mills in the lower lakes for steel production. Not many warships were built on the lakes.

I hope this helps!

I'll add the suggested details plus the ligths on the stack.
Do you know the meaning of E DC?
... And the piano near the heli ?!?

The red 'E' denotes the Engineering Excellence Award (with a second awarded); the red 'DC' (with two additional awards) represents the equivalent Damage Control award.

(helpful listing)

... So it's a must to fix the drawing!

Piano?

Well, I knew the USCG has always considered themselves more civilized and cultured than their naval counterparts, but a piano on deck may be carrying things just a bit too far, dontcha think?
