Still very much a WIP with more details and adjustments to be made as well as the finishing of the springsharp sim (I've almost got it done, just need to refine my deck arrangements in it).

This class depicts the R 00s, the first ships to be designed and built by Sierans' shipyards. They are relatively small, fast craft for their time with the first commissioning in 1911. They are equipped with 3 single mount 4in quick firing guns, 4 12.5mm machine guns, 4 torpedos in 2 tube twin launchers (no reloads carried) and racks at the stern for deploying 200kg mines with a total capacity for 60 mines (though obviously other operations are limited when such a load is carried).

R 00 to R 08 were fitted with coal powered turbines with direct gearing due to the abundance of coal available in the nation. R 09 to R 12 however were fitted with the nations first oil-fired ships which proved higher performance and cheaper to operate as well as improving the classes short range (1,200nm in initial variant, later increased to 2,000nm).

Well I finally got around to completing my drawing and springsharp details for my Anadyr class dreadnoughts which were laid down in 1914 but not completed until 1917 after modifications had been made
to the initial design to take into account knowledge learned from the Battle of Jutland in 1916.

The idea behind the history of these ships is that the forefunnel was raised to keep soot from the bridge structure (during planning these ships were to have been coal powered but converted to oil during construction). After the 1924 refit both funnels were of equal height and by 1937 they had been merged into a single, large stack to provide more deck space for the improved AA suite (considering 4x 3in QF guns is nowhere near enough even in the early 30s).

SRN Lazarev, Sieran's first Aircraft Carrier (as she appeared after refits and with her new air group in 1938);

My first attempt at drawing an aircraft carrier. She is supposed to have been designed as a merchant ship but taken over by the Navy whilst still on the stocks and converted to be the first Aircraft Carrier.

Her top speed of 17 knots was too slow however for Battle Group service and instead she was used as a training carrier to experiment with tactics for using the carrier as well as experimenting with different air group combinations.

It was these experiments where the Navy realised the need to construct a purpose built carrier based on a cruiser hull for higher speed. This ship (which I will draw soon) was commissioned in 1925 and for the first time the Navy had two air service vessels.

Well I've had a productive day and finished the R 00 Class destroyers as well. They are supposed to be the first ships designed and built for the Sieranian Republic Navy with the first Commissioning in 1908. They were based heavily upon the three destroyers which the Navy 'inherited' from the remnants of the Imperial Russian Navy in the Pacific.
