Not really, it only gained a sharper nose, just welded a section on ;)
Same nose is on the baby-kirov's.
Since the 3rd wasnt made of those, they used it for the original.

Ah, ok.

And you made a typo.
She carries about 8000-1100 missiles.
Surely you meant 80-110 missiles! :P

No she carries in an original set-up about 731 missiles (With RAMS including)
But if you exchange the C804UH+ SSM and the GUY 89/79 with the smaller AA missiles it can carry up to 1100 with retaining the Cruise missiles.
But if you exchange everything for an SAM barrage, then forget it. You will not be able to kill this thing

It sounds like many, but the original radar/sensor set-up with the old weapons has been sized down.
It now carries a more advanced radar/sensor group with less outside space needed, also inside.
This resulted in a large 320 VLS bay where the usual building from in front the bridge was.
And size down the larger cruise missiles to a more capable SSM, then you got even more.

Interesting. Are the internal arrangements with regard to crew habitability significantly altered, or do they enjoy the same far-less-than-satisfactory-by-Western-standards standard that Soviet and Russian ships are notorious for (no showers for 10+ days at a time, cold running water for the crew for 10 minutes every day, et cetera)?

Very nice! :D I've always wondered why China, with all its naval ambitions, hasn't bought more Soviet ships for "scrapping."

Internal space has decreased a little bit on one side, but on the other side increased.

The decreased space is thanks to the new VLS bay in the front.
But space was created after deleting many old Radar and Sensor units, plus the cooling and wiring that came with it.
Also about 75% of the interior space has been redesigned to get more space. And a more logic design.

The total crew count has been decreased aswell. Since the Weapon technician department is way larger then original.
