Argh... I was almost sure that we have some better F-35 side and top view. But I just can't find it, anyone see that one, it was rather in dark camo or my memory just frak with me.

Wouldn't a nuclear carrier like this fly the BAe p1216 Kestrel, rather than the F-35? I mean, that would have been in service at least 10-15 years before the F35. If you're going for a rather AU Great Britain which apparently doesn't axe anything interesting

Will do a version with this aircraft when I've built her up, forgot all about this little beuty to be honest. It looked cool, have a book on cancelled RAF and RN fighters and bombers there was another plane that looked the part too, not sure of its project no off top of my head but it had a cool x wing as viewed from above........
Looking at it, it looks like it was based on the same or similar fuselage.....

Could have been the 1205 perhaps?

The X-wing was one of the design studies that led to the 1216 final design.shippy2013 wrote:Will do a version with this aircraft when I've built her up, forgot all about this little beuty to be honest. some work done on a finished view, still more details to add, and i'm not entirely happy with the shape of the sponson at the front were the sponson with the phalanx meets the main sponson.
this is how the ship would have appeared at launch...
