I agree re: the mast. I think it still looks too much like a Japanese battleship.

Have a good day for everybody!
I am a newby in this forum, but have some year of experience on the Warships Projects Discussion Board...
So, the big NW or own design BBs are one of my favourites...
Former ideas are interesting-i also felt that have a leap between Mk15 Phalanx Ciws and 8"/55 Saleem class heavy cruiser guns-especially in the anti-boat role...
So, what if install four 57mm/70 Mk110 gun in the deck. The positons are sides of B and C turret, this modern USN weapon system requires less deck penetration than OTO 76mm Super Rapide, for example. Yes, 1000 round ready magasines on turret rear...The 8"/55 triples could overfire this 57mm guns, due to the well raised turrets...But i feel that Mk110s need an titaniun cover instead of fiberglass/alu-dont forget muzzle blast of 8"...
Also possible to fit two 127 mm Mk 37 or 45 turret on the raised, half hexagon shaped deck betwean VLS sites. One turret per side...
Yes, 127/64 OTO LW or Super Rapide are better choice, due to its higher elevation and ROF, but this BB are USN one...
Why not fit some chaff launchers on the top of main/secondary turrets? Ala 40mm quads BB turets top style?(Possible these launchers are prone to muzzle blast and vibration...8" turrets not so severe...one launcher possible fits between the original rangefinder periscopes...so no disturbance between softkill launchers and VLS...
And, finally not possible to fit two plus CIWS at the transom stern?
Best regards, Mopat

I'm sinking into pixelart-nonsense again :? (yes, it makes no sense; i swear i'll be back with the Asashios next week  )
I've used Erusia battleships as reference for details, plus some bits on the propeller struts and the front-top of the tower coming from Yamato, hence the credits; everything else, as much as similar it might appear, was entierely drawn pixel-by-pixel.

Rearrange the stern so there's just one turret aft, and you've got Yamato as she might've appeared off Vietnam. Beautiful!

Someday, some damned day, I will understand why so many artists here insist on sonar domes that can see sideways and down, but not forward.

Someday.

It may be nonsense, but certainly is impressive.
