I was bored one day and was listening to some marching tunes and decided to open paint. After a while I came up with a few random marching flags, designed for cavalry to carry.
This one is a platoon's flag, the 142 at the top means 142nd Platoon, the 8 at the bottom means 8th Cavalry Division, the II stands for the company, and VI stands for sixth platoon in the II company.
This is a company's flag, at the top the II stands for 2nd Company, and the central III is for the 3rd Brigade.
Basically any number, roman numeral or number in the center of the flag stands for what the unit bearing the flag is a part of, and at the bottom closest to the flagstaff is always for the division the unit is a part of.
I'm not sure of any scale but I assume the distance from the bottom of the staff and the bottom of the flag where it is attached to the staff would be six feet.

Interesting.
Quite simple, but nicely done.
