Perhaps not important... but anyway
just received this in a mail from Flickr:

The Flickr You Love just Got Better.

Biggr: Others measure in gigabytes. Flickr gives you 1000x the space: a free terabyte.
Whenevr: Upload once, send to any device, any screen, any friend and any follower.
Spectaculr: All of your photos saved in their full resolution and original quality, beautifully displayed.

1 terabyte = 537,731 photos of 6.5 megapixel

PNG-files doesn't appaer to be resized or Jpeg'ed as the original file is preserved as PNG...

Might be usefull.

Since my original post has largely ignored i am testing if Flickr can host images for Shipbucket..

The 'original' file from Photobucket:

The same file from Flickr:

Anyone spot any difference? Flicker being useable as imagehost?

the reason behind my 'ships' are explained here:

Remenber as mentioned above, you get 1 TB of space free now at flickr

I don't like Flickr because it doesn't preserve the file names, and I believe you are actually legally required to post it with the link back to Flickr which is a bit dumb/annoying.

Old Dropbox, MajHost, or a private FTP are the only really viable image hosting solutions available unfortunately. :(

the reason behind my drawings are here, they are spaceships:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3608&start=10

"I draw my own Sci-fi AU spaceships in SB-scala - very much unscientific, partially based on normal groundbased warships, using similarly weapons-systems and a yet undefined propulsion system - as a said very unscientific"
