I always thought they were large-ish subs just looking at waterline photos, but the literature always described them as small. Now it makes it apparent.

After some time absent from drawing warships here is the IJN submarine I-6. These seagoing submarines had their catapult aft of the conning tower, the hangar was two cylinders on deck into which the aircraft was placed. That was a lengthy process, and dismantling the aircraft so it would fit the hangar took a lot of time.
