Ha Well, is it like here, the U.K.? The further north you go the more the language changes (speaking of England only). I was up at Alnmouth some years back, and met this old boy at the beach huts; and I thought he was Norwegian!! His English sounded Scandinavian, and it figured because that's where they all came from up there.
there are different dialects in Norway, where the North Norwegian have the biggest different in dialect compared to other part of Norway. But the biggest difference between North and south Norway is that those that live far up in North the have a tendency to curse in every sentence. up to multiple time.
they have also they own curse word. And words with a double mining, so you never know if the are cursing on you or....
Just to cheer you up Huen, I'm reading all the Jo Nesbo books now (got a load in a sale); and I really enjoy you Scandinavians trying to out-morose each other

I thought was Norwegians that did that
I have read those Swedish books, and to say it this way: What ever joke we Norwegian have about the Swedish people, the swedish people have the same joke just about the Norwegian, they only replace "Sweden" with "Norway"!
