Re: Nihon Kaigun 1946
The original Kii-class design:
When tests found that this design would have been too top-heavy. four 5-inch secondaries were removed, the superstructure brought closer together, and an entire deck was deleted. (New turrets courtesy of BB1987).

Re: Nihon Kaigun 1946
Why didn't you go with a modified Tosa class and put a turret in the middle?

This was drawn from a design on DeviantART.

Re: Nihon Kaigun 1946
I was drawing it from that design, so I wasn't going to modify it that drastically.
Re: Nihon Kaigun 1946
i've done that for fun two days ago after completing the Nagato class but i left it unfinished untill now, i've made a quick fix this evening by adjusting the riggins and put the catapult with is plane.
Basically i'ts just a kitbash of my 1937 IJN Mutsu onto Midnightnova's 1925 IJN Amagi, do not take it too seriously; let's say it's a sort of christmas present for IJN lovers

I LOVE IT!!! What a Christmas present! Please tell me you're planning a refit No. 13 as well!
Re: Nihon Kaigun 1946
yes, but that would require a bit of redrawing, as i can't just simply spat Nagato Class parts onto her .

True.
Re: Nihon Kaigun 1946
this was even easier, done in less than 20 minutes pasting Nagato parts onto the Amagi i've posted above.
