AA suite is 2 twin 25mm and 2 twin 13mm (there is a twin 25mm mount abaft the rear funnel), Chokai had that outfit in 1941, mainly because (like Maya) was not extensively modernized like Takao and Atago.

by the way, Chokai in 1942:

AA suite composed of 6 twin 25mm mounts, no other changes from how she was fitted in 1941 .

Really nice.
Only thing I would alter is the armour belt and drawn it with dark grey instead of black. otherwise its really nice drawing of a nice warship class.

Beautiful work...I'm speechless, really...the amount of detail in these is staggering! Once again, you've triumphed!

Lol, thanks for. Doing 'my' ship! As usual I cannot praise your talent nigh enough! Superbly executed drawings, my friend! May heaps I can soon see the Chokai as of 1937?

Bezo, it's still fine Takao in 1932 and Maya 1933 ( )? because i have only a 1938 picture of Chokai showing the funnel area and not much else; i will add it tough if it does not look alike the other ships, and if i find more references obviously :)

Maya as of 1943:

she recieved the type 21 air search radar on the foremast, two extra 25mm twin mounts above the hangar (total is now 8x2 25mm) and an extra director abaft the rear funnel.

The armour belt above the waterline is now outlined in dark grey, what about the underwater one? it's ok to leave it black or to turn into the darker red shade used for shading the keel and outline the bulges?
also, the bulges will be also outlined in dark grey above the waterline (for the ships wich will have them, Chokai never recieved them for example), would this not made them look indistinguishable (or even create dark grey blobs if their outlines cross each other?
