oh sorry, i didn't saw her on the real design list, I will update my drawing to the later version of Darter.

Damn DP, you CRAZY with all those subs!

To not fall completely off the radar, one I did with permission from Crazyhorse, using parts of his old drawing, the Vanguard:

Edit: Completely redid the shading on the Astute to fall more in line with the other submarines:

Lot of work there. Finding references for those Boomers is HARD. I was lucky to find a sideview drawing from a model kit and a color photograph from her rollout, which told me just which details in the drawing were the red-lined floodgates. And there are some nice photos from model kits, but finding details for the submerged part is difficult...

Also, check out the incredible size difference between Astute and Vanguard. And yet they carry the same reactor.

I assume nuclear missiles eat a lot of space?
What are the yellow things on the vanguard btw?

Those yellow objects are IIRC the vents that open to let air flow out of the ballast tanks, so that water can enter though the red lined floodgates at the bottom of the ship. The Trafalgar has them too, and on the Astute they're all topside, so you don't see them from the side.
