6 turrets in that configuration is a little crowded in my opinion, plus it would greatly increase weight and limit speed which could be vitally important. 4 turrets should work nicely, you could even pull a Mogami and add a 5th, but that is as far as I would go.

like this? and what inch of guns are these?
Re: KES Nariana
How the hell would we know? They're not a real type and have been dropped onto a different spring style almost without care.
Re: KES Nariana
Three turrets forward with two of them superfiring is still too much. When it was suggested to "pull a Mogami" they meant something like this layout that the Nelson has.

no, by studying the internal systems and shape of real world systems, as the outside can only tell you so much about how they work.
most notably in this case, stuff like this, for example:

Re: KES Nariana
what era ship will this be, and by that I mean that the hull looks ww2 while the guns have a far more modern look.
Re: KES Nariana
I think that you will find that actually drawing this plan as it likely would've been completed (read: not just draw a Montana as would-be built) would be useful for developing your skills so that you can produce better quality AU drawings.
Re: KES Nariana
This. Drawing real and never built ships is an excellent way to get a feel for naval design. Once you have that, and start to understand how things interact your personal designs get better, and will look less silly.klagldsf wrote:I think that you will find that actually drawing this plan as it likely would've been completed (read: not just draw a Montana as would-be built) would be useful for developing your skills so that you can produce better quality AU drawings.
