bulvarks...the part of the hull that actually rises atop the main deck level should be in same tone as the other parts of the upper works.
Also the picture shows some sort of rigging around the lifeboat containers (wich should be drawn in front of the railing, not behind.) that misses from the drawing?

about that rigging you are right.... but the hull should change colour halfway?? I now coloured the 'hull shaped' part a bit darker, and left the structure the original colour.... is this still wrong? ( I don't quite get it.......)
btw the hull shading is fixed now as well.

Yeah, "half way" is one way to say it. In the correct spot I would say myself ;)
Just to also seperate the bulvarks from the actuall hull in so to speak. In the end, all this is mere basic shading, nothing dangerous...

the edges on the forecastle...the part of the hull that raises over the deck level.
