Looking better, Hawkeye.
Re: FF-1030 U.S.S. Joseph K. Taussig - FRAM II

Re: FF-1030 U.S.S. Joseph K. Taussig - FRAM II
This drawing is out of proportion in places.
What is your original reference? Are you sure the previous scale problem hasn't distorted the superstructure?
This is what I refer to:
The mast positioning is completely wrong and the ship itself is just oversized. Navy Yard Associates (where the reference drawing came from) is a reputable source, but if you can find me something like a Friedman's drawing or original builder's plans that support your version then I will leave it alone. Until then, you need to work on getting this right.
In my mind I have set a high standard for the USN ships on Shipbucket and I expect it to be adhered to.
That said, I appreciate that you are contributing and I don't want to run you off, but there are some quality guidelines that must be enforced.

Re: FF-1030 U.S.S. Joseph K. Taussig - FRAM II
Nope, I'm not running away.
History:
First I have resized the refrerence drawing with Paint.Net
And I have making two mistakes. I have deleted the resized reference drawing and have used
the unresized one. Why?? I don't know why!!
I have thought Paint.Net was shit and have searched another way to do the drawing.
Then I have find and used used the older drawings of Jonesthetank to corect the length of the hull
and the height and length of the superstructure step by step. So I was sure to make it right.
BTW:
Yes, the torpedo loading cranes and the AST are setting higher on my drawing. Later they were setting in the lower
position like the "red drawing" shows it. Same with the sonar setting. Navsource speaking about AN/SQS-4.

Here's a scan of a pic of DE-1026. It shows the higher position of the AST's.

Friedmans books are verey exprehensive here but I order a lot of them this year step by step.

Yep, I have take a look at Navy Yard Associates.
You can find the two DASH versions there
DASH conversion (here's the version with the higher AST position):

Here's the other one:

Pre-DASH:

Here's the other one with the higher AST positions:
http://www.navyyardassociates.net/deale ... _ver2.html
I have a reference drawing from the book "Geleitschiffe der US Navy".
I resized this and the Navy Yard drawings to get the correct size of both versions.
But please, I need time because of my health situation (dialysis and sometimes it's very tiring, believe me).
And Ian, I know you don't want to insult me!! I want to make it right and if I have to fight therefor I do it!!
