Is there no icebreaker safe from this man !!! :D

The 1944 veiw I throught that there may have been a few weapons or was because it was used on the great lakes it didn't need any ?

It is illegal to have armed vessels on the Great Lakes in most cases.

The 1944 version is going to have an earlier radar. Other than that, they look good.

Actually you can have weapons on the lakes, you just can't fire live ammunition, and the Coast Guard should probably know what you're up to... ;)

Probably the correct description would be "as 1944-1972":
I worked on few pictures and the best were color pictures... Probably later than 1944.
This could explain a too new radar. BTW I am open to follow Tim's suggestions.
Moreover I would exclude an armed Big Mac: she (maybe he sounds better) was designed to keep clear the Great Lake's routes in order to support the war shipyards and the other industries.
I think that nobody took in account hostilities in that area, expecially in '44 and later.
