Measure 32 2012 Task Group

#1 Post by Colosseum »

Per Wolfman's request.

Let me just say now that the USN supercarriers in the archive are hopelessly filled with pixel-errors; the artist obviously made no effort to keep their colors separated. Hence the slapdash job on the Nimitz. While we're at it I'd like to petition the community to redraw all the USN CVNs.

Anyway, drawn using actual USN camouflage sheets for destroyers, cruisers, and carriers.

Camouflage makes ships look scary and regardless of how antiquated it is I wouldn't mind seeing some USN ships painted like this.

Unfortunately, much of the scaling on the CVNs is dubious as well, as if they were drawn from something like this.

A redraw is certainly necessary.

Anyway, amusing paint jobs :)

The thing that would finish out the carriers were if the air group were painted in WWII era colours.

Knock yourself out if you feel interested, I can't be bothered. :P

Recoloring the CVN to get it into a state where I could easily apply camouflage sapped me of my will to bother trying to camouflage other people's ships.

Personally, I really like the way that Tike looks.

Damn it, Colo.... now you got me thinking about doing some camo for my AU ships!

Whilst the Cam Job does look very cool, what purpose would it REALLY serve other than to severely piss the CPO Bosun off? Haha
