Ahhh...the PBY that spotted the Japanese armada, escorted by the Nachi and Haguro in the afternoon of February 27th, 1942, which precipitated the disastrous battle of the Java Sea, where Shoutbynacht Karel Doorman vigorously but fruitlessly attempted to halt the invasion of Java... USS Houston was one of the involved ABDAFlot units...

Love the Cats, the best looking flying boats IMO.

Damn, mighthunter, you snatched it right from under my nose!
No problem, though :D Great job on the camo.
By the way, I'm planning to post vanilla drawings of all PBY variants some time after I'm done with those I'd like to paint myself, so just wait for it ;)

I am a Ninja like that, LOL. Honestly, I didn't know you were planning it, and there are other RAF Coastal Command Catalina Mk.1s with other camouflage patterns that you can do. I just wanted to do that one, lol.

Great Cat :) One of these sometimes flies around Cambridge; I think its a Duxford plane, and its a treat to watch as it does very slow circuits.

Excellent Cats. Lovely to see those colour schemes too, certainly the Cat was around at some of the most pivotal moments of the War, perhaps more so than any other plane.

Nice F-1 too Kilomouse!
