Re: First original drawing
Not bad, not bad at all. The only problem at this point is that both air search radars you've used are 10-15 years too new for a new-build 5/38 destroyer (leader). SC-2 seems most likely to me.
Twin 40mm would probably be fit port and starboard, just forward of the boats (or replacing them entirely in wartime).

Re: First original drawing
so should i replace the one on the top or the one below it with an SC-2?
Don't hit kids....
No seriously, they have guns now.

Re: First original drawing
You should replace the top one and remove the lower one entirely. You're not plausibly shipping two major air search set on a ship this size in this era.
Re: First original drawing
ok so here it is with the updated radar

The stern looks a bit long compare to the bow, I suggest you to move the superstructure slightly backwards.

Or make the ship shorter.Clonecommander6454 wrote:The stern looks a bit long compare to the bow, I suggest you to move the superstructure slightly backwards.
One nit-pick is that the portholes seem to be placed too close vertically, and that means not enough headroom.
Thank you Kim for the crest

Also, having a sizeable space between the d.c. throwers and the aft racks; it would make more sense to group them at the stern. but yes, notwithstanding the good effort put in this is a very large hull for the actual weaponry, and I'm not sure if this would be economic.
Re: First original drawing
ok only main difference is the length, it is now shorter

Re: First original drawing
This strikes me as a plausible destroyer-leader.

She's an exceptionally well-balanced little ship.
Handsome, capable, and historically possible.
Would have made a respectable station ship, or a very good post-war export design.
