That's a good one Whyme.And not far from the truth.Combined ops/amphibious assault are a lot older than many people think.

You could go back to 54BC.Julius Caesar.Gen Wolff's expedition up the heights of Abraham is widely regarded as the first amphibious operation of the modern age.
