I ask of you to prove me wrong. Not say I am wrong, but prove it, because then I will have learned something new.

Mmm, well I have issues with them, but APDAF seems to be set on doing it...

Anyway, this is why I prefer little ships. Destroyers away!

And really, what's the point? Barrel wear is going to be atrocious, accuracy none too great, shockwave deadly, and weight immense yet for all that it doesn't give you much in terms advantages.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error

I have been reading Warhammer 40,000 too much, and that has made me want bigger guns.

Then use smileys :D

Anyway, here is an update on the canopus. This is essentially my first go at rigging, so please don't shout too loud :P However, any advice would be very useful.
And Ace, I know it's aft heavy, But I like the design... It can be done with a proper internal arrangement as well.

PLEASE....
How to make plausable ships..
1. Have a tactical idea - how should the ship operate, and with what kind og supporting units such as destroyers, torpedoboats, gunsloops or cruisers.
2. Sketch the ship
3. Do a springsharp model of the ship (www.zpringsharp.com)
4. Redo the sketch and try fit the guns, smokepipes etc
5. Adjust your springsharp model
6. Do the Shipbucket drawing
7. Post here and on a springsharp forum like Warship projects. Lots of diffrent kind of comment

I often get inspired by one or two ships and try to fit them into a tactical plan.

I think your a could be interesting...maybe do something with the oldest daugther of queen Victoria, Kaiser Wilhem IIs mother and wife of kaiser Freidrich III. I do not think a uinon would work but maybe a joint operation navy with diffrent kinds of mission and responsibilites of each nation. What and who is the main threat?
