But seriously, I've been talking with Timothy about it this morning. As you've probably already figured out, there's no good answer. We'll all keep trying until we get something that everyone's happy with. I'd look at MihoshiK's Type 695 jammer for some alternative ideas for how to capture some of these scales.

Here's my humble attempt to draw the antenna for SA/SA-2/SA-3 air search set:

Re: USN Systems
This makes it especially clear. Certainly an aspect ratio of only about 1.5
Anyway, I like SA, assuming the size is right.

Ok, rapid update due to some glaring errors in what was drawn, see the notations in the first post:

Re: USN Systems
The size of the antenna is about half a pixel smaller. Should I make it larger by this half a pixel instead in accordance with the "exaggerating for clarity" rule?erik_t wrote:Anyway, I like SA, assuming the size is right.

Re: USN Systems
Quick question: Can the SPY-3 system direct ESSM? In other words, if I have SPY-3 do I still need a Mk95?

Re: USN Systems
SPY-3 is made to direct ESSM and the SM series, IIRC.
