In the yearly years SMGs were "the" assault weapon and often were issued with bayontes. Of course, by the WW2 it was more of a tradition than a common sense decision.
And speaking of Uzi with bayonet:

No idea. Just google "uzi bayonet", there are plenty of pictures (and, hopefully, info)

There's some yellowish background inside trigger guards and in other holes. And on your MG42 as well.
Other than that it's beautiful as always!

Ahh, a true steam-punk weapon! Only 4 were ever built, although if not for the end of WW1 it might have become very popular LSW as the reviews were very positive.
