Here's my take on turning the XB-30 into a long-range maritime patrol bomber.

Image

And an AU version of the plane with minor changes/addons that better reflect the base bomber in actual service.

The B-30 would continue to see improvements in service, such as the D-variant with an extra twin turret mounted on its belly, and the bow-mounted twin turret/bombardiers' position being replaced with a new turret with quad MGs and the bomardier being moved aft, and below with a new window added.

Image

Additionally, since I started on the actual Constellation as a base for the XB-30, I decided to finish it, because why not?

The B-30E becomes the first variant to feature exclusively remotely operated gun turrets.
Image

The PB5O-2 was an upgrade over the PB5O-1 using the same remotetely operated quad turrets and general improvements from the B-30E model.

The crackpipe has been smoked and the civilian Civil Air Patrol has been given secondhand B-17s for ASW patrols (which they did IRL with civilian aircraft like Stinsons and Pipers with bomb racks strapped to the wings!!).

Here's the AU-version of a production model of the P-46A, with some minor modifications, such as 6 wing-mounted .50cal machine guns rather than the initially designed two fuselage-mounted .50cals and as many as 8 wing-mounted .30cals.
Image

Additionally, I've also chosen to use the XP-55 Ascender in the AU. The initial A-variant uses the Allison V-1750-95 engine, but the later B-variant uses the engine that the plane was originally concieved with; the Pratt & Wittney X-1800.

The B-42 Mixmaster was developed as a fast medium bomber using two Allsion engines driving a contra-rotating propeller.
Image

Here's a few more variations on the P-46; the D (& F) variant is powered by the R-2800 radial engine, whilst the E (& F) variant adds a bubble canopy.
