Happened to me a couple of times too. Whenever I copy/paste a large chunk of pixels in the current version of MS paint. That tool is no longer useful, I'm afraid.

Best I can tell you is paint.net it is completly free of use. Just disable antialising,good size for Arial black, color tolerance and you are ready to go. You have much more tools to use to if you want to learn.

I'm still using the good old Win XP paint, plenty of downloads of the old version on net
