Various parts (mostly Dutch ship artillery)

#1 Post by Sanglune »

Hello, I've been mostly hanging on the discord but today I'm going to post most of my presentable stuff on the forums.

I will use the following tags to identify parts:
Basic - The item is usable but in a simple state, preferably to be tidied up by someone at some point.
Dissatisfied - I'm not satisfied with the final product, either due to the sources or implementation.

Awesome to see these gathered here!

Just a small note, you do know that you can use the sb wiki as image host for stuff like this? saves a separate upload ;)

Noted. But I seem to require to be logged-in to upload files.

It should be the same account as on shipbucket forum. loging into shipbucket wiki, is no different then loging into any other web-pages!

That is false. The wiki uses a separate login that I have to create for people.

wasn't for me back then, but then I was one of the early bird. Things changes, but of course I can say something wrong, it's not the first time I do... I tend to write faster then I think, sometimes

Back then you had the ability to create the account yourself but anyone could do that, including spambots :P

For that reason we do the wiki account creation manually now. But the main site, forum, wiki and discord all have separate account databases.

Some more stuff I drew lately. Sadly whenever I want to draw a ship in shipbucket scale I get demotivated from the lack of parts available that I need.
So far I've been struggling with the colour of boats mostly as well as a lack of references for some items (such as De Ruyter's crane, can't find a top view anywhere; only a silhouette)

28' motorsloop for opiumchasers
Image

35' motorsloop as for Java (M26) and Sumatra (M27)
Image

6m verlengde loodjol (voor Hr Ms Tromp)
Image

I've also managed to get my hands on some pretty rare blueprints though. So here's the one and only 40mm Bofors Universal Stabilised Tachymetric Electric Radar mount.
40mm BUSTER, later model
Image

And here's some stuff in the pipeline
Image
There's De Ruyter's crane, A Dutch 4" from the pantserboten that I struggle getting the right scale as I refuse a 2px centreline, some parts for my latest project and a 35mm twin AJAX CIWS mount which, like its SEM-30 Quad Mauser Goalkeeper (SGE-30 predecessor) have only 3D images for.

Also, I want to upload my non-basic/dissatisfied parts to the wiki. If anyone needed permission or can help me set up an account it would be appreciated.
