Shenyang, Jian-11 (J-11A-歼11)
The Shenyang J-11 (Chinese: 歼击机-11/歼-11, translated from Chinese JianJiJi/Jian-11) NATO designation: Flanker B+, is a single-seat twin-engine fighter aircraft, developed from the original air superiority fighter. Soviet/Russian Sukhoi Su-27 (NATO reporting name: Flanker), by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation for the People's Republic of China People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), which is its sole operator in the present. In 1995, China signed a $2.5 billion contract for the licensed manufacture of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-27SK fighter using Russian-supplied equipment; Under the terms of the contract, the aircraft would be equipped with avionics, radars and engines from Russia, but only 95 of the 200 agreed were delivered, and the remaining 105 are still pending; Russian authorities are believed to have canceled the deal in 2006 after discovering that the Chinese were copying the aircraft and reverse-engineering its technology to develop a local version; known as J-11B. However, the Chinese authorities insist that they asked Russia to stop supply shipments of the aircraft, because they no longer meet the needs of the PLAAF, The J-11B variant, although it does not have the most modern Russian technology, if it includes several modifications in its structure, in addition to being equipped with Chinese avionics and weapons. The J-11 is a fourth generation aircraft, and together with its Russian counterparts (Sukhoi Su-27, Sukhoi Su-30 and Sukhoi Su-33 ), were designed and created as a counterpart to corresponding Western fighters, such as the F-15 Eagle and F/A-18 Super Hornet.
China, Sukhoi SU-30MKK
The Sukhoi Su-30MKK (NATO reporting name: Flanker-G) is a modification of the Sukhoi Su-30, incorporating advanced technology from the Sukhoi Su-35 variant. The Su-30MKK was developed by Sukhoi in 1997, as a result of a Direct Tender Request between the Russian Federation and China. It is a long-range, all-weather, heavy-class attack fighter, and like the Sukhoi Su-30, comparable to the American McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle. The Su-30MKK China is a further upgrade of the Su-30MKK with improved avionics and seaborne attack capabilities. Currently, the MKK and MK2 are operated by the People's Liberation Army Air Force.
