Re: Hellenic Kingdom : Revisited
Under the Hellenic Kingdom - Argentina Agreement in 2010's for selling 3 Kimon Class AAW destroyers to Argentina, HLK received the blueprints of the BOM-85 and built 3 hulls, one Submarine Rescue/Diving Support ship and two Research Vessels, one each for HCMR and Hellenic Navy. All three are active by July 2022. The RHS Stathis Hatzis received the older LR5(HL) SRV after an MLU program.

Re: Hellenic Kingdom : Revisited
Hi, Odysseus!, Nice ships in nice liverys! If there is one vessel named for Erasthostenes, may I suggest Democritus? Or maybe he will be better for the future SSN ! Cheers.

I am not sure about SSN in my AU. Nice to have, but very expensive also.
There is something called Democritus, but is an National Center for Scientific Research. This exists both in my AU and the real life as well. In my AU however NCSR Democritus does also significant nuclear research.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exocet
Like real world Hellas, the AU Hellenic Kingdom did had Combattante II Fast Attack Craft, but 8 instead of 4. Also, HLK was interersted in the Exocet missile for very early and entered in its development program. the experience would led to the hellenic derivative of Exocet missile, the HSSM-2. The Combattante II received the HSSM-2A (a turbojet derivative of MM38) from 1984, which could use the canisters of MM38. Turbojet engine was developed completely in house by the HFTE and is analog to the Teledyne J-402 used in Harpoon missile. The turbojet intake is fitted in the bottom of the missile, between the wings. If looking carefully in second and third craft, the jet intake is just visible. Original HSSM-2A had range of about 50 nm, later improved versions reach 65 nm. This was the HSSM-2A3, while the -A1 & -A2 had several improvements in warhead, navigation system and were more immune to electronic countermeasures.
All the 8 Combattante IIa were gifted to Georgia (first batch of 4) and sold in very good price (second batch) in late 1990's to early 2000's. The vessels had already received an improved CDS (a digital derivative of Thomson CSF Vega CDS by ISI) and the FCS Sea Arrow, while in Georgian service they were fitted with a new elecrtooprical device and a new radar, provided by HLK. Finally, they received the newest variant of HSSM-2 missile, the -A4. Same range with the -A3, but even more improved electronics.

Re: Hellenic Kingdom : Revisited
Hellenic Coast Guard was established in 1919, combining the older Harbour Corps with the Anti-smuggling Command of Hellenic Navy. All vessels of latter were transferred to Hellenic Coast Guard, while new vessels entered also service. These were the HCG 01 Class and the HCG 10 Class, each group of 10 vessels. Both were ex British Hunt Class Minesweepers of WW1, of Belvoir and Aberdare Group respectively, bought in barely scrap price in 1919-1920. Modifications were new oli fired boilers, armament became one 6-pdr Hotchkiss and a QF 1-pounder pom pom gun. In 1939-1940 latter was replaced with a single 20mm/L65 Y1935 Naval Mount (lisenced built German 20mm Flak 30 modified with domestic designed drum magazines of 60, 75 rounds). All vessels remaining from WW2 were decomissioned in late 1940's to early 1950's.
This is the HCG 01 Class "Belvoir Group".
