Re: Submarine 2
Very intersting concept, and the drawing itself is beyond reproach
Thank you Kim for the crest

Re: Submarine 2
In this small entry I have to admit that I don't claim it to be accurate at all, as for this boat exist only some designers' concept sketches and reconstructions based on text descriptions but no rock-solid blueprints.
Submarine Toro (Bull) was designed by German-Peruvian engineer Federico Blume during the War of the Pacific. First works on similar submarine were undertaken by said engineer already during 1864-1866 war against Spain, but were not concluded before end of hostilities. Design met with some interest from Peruvian authorities, allowing the works to commence with bit more vigour than in previous war. Finished boat successfuly completed trials, including remaining submerged to 7 meters for 30 minutes. It was planned to use it against Chilean ironclads Almirante Cochrane and Blanco Encalada anchored off Callao, but information about new secret weapon was apparently leaked to the enemy, and both warships were moved outside submarine's range. Eventually the boat was scuttled in Callao on 16 January 1881.

Re: Submarine 2
Few extras from the Polish Submarines project... ( viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10265 )
American S class
USA, S-25 (later ORP Jastrząb)
British U class (III group)
Great Britain, P44 United
Netherlands, Dolfijn
Soviet Union, V-2
Denmark, U1 Springeren (formerly ORP Dzik)
Unfortunately, details of the snorkel for this one (that I could find) are very sketchy.
I also couldn't find satisfactorily good sources regarding appearance of Hellenic and Norwegian boats.
(Yesterday I logged-on to Shipbucket mainly to post these drawings. In the end, I commented on number of threads but forgot to do the most important... )
