Re: FD Aircraft 18
Great work all. Love those C-27J's, DP.
Re: FD Aircraft 18
YOU WILL ALL BE PRIVY TO A GREAT BECOMING...
Behold, Light Observation Aircraft!
...my first aircraft post so please feel free to constructively criticize!
Firstly my ̶q̶u̶i̶c̶k̶ obsessively, maniacally over-detailed overhaul of Darth's old Bell 47.
Top one's an OH-13D/E of M.A.S.H. fame, bottom is a later OH-13G model as seen in Vietnam.
Next, the soldier's best friend, the L-19 Bird Dog.
Last but not least, and with a little help from Onionfield, the Cessna 180/185 Skywagon.
Just templates for now, Aussies and others to come later.
Hope you like 'em, I might expand them to include the other variants iff'n y'all want.

@Aloysius Great additions. It would be great to see the other variants of those aircraft. I would also suggest that if you intend on making templates, that they be in grayscale, like your Cessna 180/185.
Here are a few new templates I made in service of my Around the world project.
Cessna 680 Family
COMAC ARJ21-700
Cessna 210 Family

Re: FD Aircraft 18
Would it also be okay to do the COMAC C919?
Re: FD Aircraft 18
Thanks Bud, updated as per your suggestion.orionfield wrote: ↑April 7th, 2021, 4:47 pm @Aloysius Great additions. It would be great to see the other variants of those aircraft. I would also suggest that if you intend on making templates, that they be in grayscale, like your Cessna 180/185.
The reason I didn't make them grayscale initially was that I was worried that the palette might cause some of the fine 1 px. wire and pipework to get muddled,
and also that I burned out chasing details and couldn't be bothered to repaint them at the time.
Might I add that your own work is noticeably improving, keep it up.

Rogožarski IK-3
Yugoslavia's home-grown single engine fighter was entering service in 1941, but in insufficient numbers to influence the Axis invasion.
Designed as a successor to the IK-2, the IK-3 prototype first flew in May 1938, and was destroyed in a crash from a highspeed dive in January 1939. After modifications to the canopy which had been determined to have caused the crash, an initial production run of 12 aircraft was constructed. Delays with components from foreign manufactures meant that the first 6 aircraft were delivered in March 1940, with the remaining 6 only in July 1940. A further production run of another 25 aircraft was commenced and n additional order for 23 more was made, but by the time of the invasion none had been completed. Modification to a more aerodynamic engine cowling and propeller spinner and a smaller ventral air cooler was flown in preparation for the series 2 aircraft construction, but the test aircraft was delivered for service on the day after the Invasion commenced.
The IK-3 performed well in combat, being more manoeuvrable than the Bf109, with at least 11 victories during the invasion. With the end of hostilities 3 serviceable IK-3's were burnt by their crews, and 2 aircraft were captured. Due to sabotage the 2 captured aircraft were destroyed, and none survived.
