Royal Fryssian Air Force - Fire & Rescue

The Royal Fryssian Air Force and their Fire & Rescue service are always on alert in case of an emergency or to safeguard normal flight operations. They have a wide range of fire fighting vehicles, from big airport crash tenders to specialized rescue vehicles.

Some sideproject of mine.
I decided that the car manufacturer of FISKER should enter Formula 1 in the 2014 season. However they didnt make 2014 and entered 2015 instead.
They used Ferrari engines till 2019 and since then Renault Engines.
A funny fact about this team, almost its entire budget comes funded from Scandinavian and Fryssian companies.
And thus also their drivers have been till today Scandinavian Nationals or Fryssian

Driver layout:
2015-today: Kevin Magnussen, a Fryssian National
2015-2016: Marcus Ericsson, a Swedish National
2019-today: Kimi Räikkönen, a Finnish National

Results till now:
2015; 8th in constructors with 37 points
2016; 7th in constructors with 68 points
2017; 5th in constructors with 91 points
2018; 5th in constructors with 99 points
2019; 5th in constructors with 106 points
2020; 5th in constructors with 186 points

For the 2020 season we have Kimi Raikkonen partnered with Kimi Magnussen.
In the 2020 season the team became 5th in the Constructors Championship with 186 points. The team secured one time a 3rd place on the podium in the Italian grand prix thanks to Kimi Räikkönen.

For the 2021 season we have yet again Kimi Raikkonen partnered with Kimi Magnussen.
The car was shown on 14 Februari 2021 and had its first filming day on 16 Februari 2021.
The team will try to secure a 4th in the Constructor Championship with the FA-6B.
Image

The team also showed a concept for the 2022 season with the current sponsors.
The team also told the media that they atleast want to try to get a racewin in 2022 and secure the 3rd spot or higher in the Constructor Championship.

Disrupt Class 2000+ MLU (MidLife Upgrade)

From 2000 on 10 remaining ships got the MLU called Phase 2B Upgrade. (Also the greek units)

(Batch 1 received its Phase 1 upgrade to Batch 2 standards between 1990-1994)

The MLU changed the ship widely in their capabilities and combat operations.
The following changes where applied to all ships:
-Change of WM25 to Smart-S surface search radar
-Change of LW-08 to the indigenous Raytek LA-09 3D Air and surface radar
-Exchange of the Goalkeeper CIWS
-Upgrade of the CMS Software
-Widening and strenghtening of the helodeck so all ships can accommodate bigger helicopters.
-Internal changes by removal of Goalkeeper control room and less crew needed for new systems

Next up is the 2010+ upgrade of the remaining ships in the class and picturing of the sold units.

Around the year 2001 the Fryssian navy gained contact about a possible purchase deal for frigates from the Chilian navy.
This deal would however not only stop there.
The plan to also to train the crew and a possible future technology transfer in the form of upgrades.

In 2002 the deal was signed and the start of a new partnership in navies was set.
-4 Frigates of the Class Disrupt to be transfered to the Chilian navy after their MLU upgrade
-Build 4 new Frigates of the MEKO A200 Class for the Chilian navy
-Build 4 new Corvettes of the Eligable Class for the Chilian navy
-Future MLU for the MEKO A200 and Disrupt Class
-Crew training for all 12 ships
-Translation of all intellectual items of all ship Classes

In 2003 and 2005 two units where sold to the Chilian navy, they where upgraded to MLU spec before transfer.
In 2006 and 2008 another two units where sold to the Chilian navy, both already had their MLU finished.

These are really attractive vessels! Though I have to wonder if the aft, large 3D air-search radar (LA-09A in your AU?) is perhaps overkill for a vessel that's only armed with Sea Sparrow for self-defense? I would think that the latest generation of Smart-S would be sufficient for the task of long-range air surveillance on such a vessel. Perhaps a modest upgrade of the existing Thales LW-08 would be a more cost-effective solution, rather than mounting an all-new radar. Keep up the good work - cheers!

A lot of ships get radar upgrade above their paygrade. The Germans also put their own designed 3d radar as a refit on their S frigates. Its good to do this also to research and get nice results in tests
