SARO P.104

The winning contender for the R.2/48 Sunderland replacement was not funded and so never built.

Illustrated in the colours of RAF Avro Shackletons. The lower aircraft has the sensor deployed, the forward rocket bay tray extended and bomb bay open.

That is a lovely addition, the P.104 was a good looking flying boat even if it had come late to see production.

The best of the post-war boats too IMO, closely followed by the Type 524.

Armstrong Whitworth A.W.29 mailplane

The design of the A.W.29 light day bomber seemed to be an ideal starting point for a mailplane for Canada, and so a variant was proposed with a mail compartment above the wing, and with the open cockpit relocated to the wing trailing edge. Nothing came of this project.

That's an interesting design project for sure, never seen this one before. Nice work.

How strange: The MPA has the MAD tail boom but not the ASW version.

I forgot to install it, I just used the same systems used on the C295 except on the last
one which uses the systems from the Embraer P-99, I'm also thinking of adding to more
passenger variants, a shortened version and stretched.
