Colombamike wrote: February 26th, 2020, 9:53 am Well done Ian,
Are you planning other versions ? (some 1941-1942 versions, especially some 1942's ;) )

Can i dream of Yorktown (june 1942), Hornet in april 1942 (japan bombing) & october 1942...
Charybdis drew Yorktown in 1938, 1940, & 1942, Enterprise 1940, and Hornet 1942 (Doolittle Raid); I imagine they're available in the archive.

Never thought I'd grant a dream of yours, but there you go...

Words fail...
An excellent work of art, indeed the handiwork of an angle, considering the patience needed to complete, and in such details, this master piece.
Thank you Ian for posting that.

Thanks all. Regarding the earlier drawings, those have already been done by Charybdis and are available here: http://shipbucket.com/drawings/search?c ... =&drawing=

I don't have any plans to draw the earlier iterations of the class. This project alone (which essentially only resulted in one variation of the ship itself) took much longer than originally anticipated, but that may have been due to moving cities and changing circumstances rather than actual time spent drawing/researching. I'm looking forward to working on other topics before potentially returning to carriers.

Colo, have you ever given thought to the Omaha-class CLs? They had several variations utilizing several different camo schemes...was just wondering if it was possible we might see this class given the 'Colo Treatment'? :D
