Very nice, I've always thought the McD JSF design was the best looking of the lot.

Good afternoon, guys.
an interesting tank hunter based in the BTR-79 chassis: 2C14 Zhalo-S.
Image
Armed with a high velocity 85 mm gun and with a good rate of fire, it was a deadly opponent to tanks like AMX-30, Leopard I and even M48. Unfortunatelly it was rather bulky and the destructive qualities of the shell was not as good as the soviets desired, so the vehicle was not adopted.
Credits: I used the very well drawn Caddaric79´s BTR-70 as starting line. Thanks. Cheers.

Very nice, Reytuerto.

Junkers Ju 288 G

The Junkers Ju 288 G was a proposal of anti-ship version with a 35,6 cm recoiless gun “Gerät 104”. The Gerät 104 was a gun of Davis system, with 700 kg heavy shell (without reloads) but ground test in a mockup of a Dornier 217 damaged tail and planes, and the Gerät 104 was cancelled. The Ju 288 G was stripped of belly turrets.

Dornier Do 317B

The Dornier Do 317B was canceled after the poor perfomances of the Do 317 V1, when only a real-size mockup had been built. It was going to be powered by "power egg" with DB 610 engines. It had to have a pressurized cabin and remote control weapons.

The marks are of the Steinbock operation of 1944.

Very nice additions.
I had never heard of the Zhalo-S before, so that was new to me.

F/A-18 STOL-D:
Image
When the USAF began its STOL fighter program, Northrop proposed a modified F/A-18 with two-dimension thrust vectoring. The air force instead chose an F-15B for the program, which was developed into the F-15S/MTD and F-15B ACTIVE.

While the book says an F/A-18A was proposed, I modified an F/A-18B since the NF-15B was a two-seater as well. Shown here with a speculative scheme based on the NF-15B's.

F-16 Agile Falcon:

Would have had a 25% larger wingspan with six hardpoints. The concept was never picked up by any NATO member, and evolved into Japan's F-2.
