Hi Maomatic!
That one's really cool, a P-cruiser blown up to real size!
And for the record, I believe top-views are foul play in a challenge . Excellent work on that one.
Greetings
GD

Re: Fast battleship challenge!
Note to all, I've revised my entry after someone pointed out that I'd screwed up the top view layering of the superstructure (or, more accurately, forgotten to correct it after some major changes in the side view); I took the opportunity to fix a few details I'd missed, as well.
As for top views being unfair... well, after my first attempt at a carrier, I just sort of got into the habit of always doing a top view. Thought it was fun, personally, and it helped me make sure that where I placed some of the details on the side view made sense.

Re: Fast battleship challenge!
Hats off to you rdfox76, thats an impressive first entry!
Regarding to views:
I think it helps to see if everything that you've put on the side view fits on the ship. And it is indeed fun to do.
But if someone feels that this is "cheating" (and I don't think GD meant it that way! ), the judges may fell free to disregard mine.
Besides, I think, one shouldn't take "competitions" on an internet forum too serious anyway...
@GD:
Oh man, I didn't even think about Kreuzer P when drawing this. Now that you say it, it does have an awful lot of similarities...
Fun fact: In the early stages of designing the Scharnhorsts, quad-turrets and even the 35cm C/34s were indeed considered. (and Diesel engines for that matter...)
edit: see above...^^

Re: Fast battleship challenge!
I don't think including a plan view is cheating -- I awarded more points for those who go the extra mile to include them in the last challenge (treaty cruiser).
