Hey,
Cheers for the compliments. I agree that I feel I've been slowly evolving a style or 'flavour' for Sieran by mixing other elements but then trying to go back and work with a natural evolution to show them. Effectively starting over with such early designs I think is helping work out a proper design evolution showing how things progress.
The structure under B turret is actually coloured. I presume you're refering to the inwards angled section just forward of the barbette that's allowing the fore turret rearward arcs? The issue with using as pale a colour as I have been is that it becomes really hard to do highlights without it looking white, like I agree it does there.
The turrets I might end up redrawing or at least detailing up still. With rebuilds I kinda want to add rangefinders and rafts to the turrets which will be some work in itself.
As for the older drawings, I've put some up in the blog on my website however I've effectively taken the dropocalypse as an excuse to clear the old drawings I feel I can do better with and starting over from scratch or at least using them as a basis.

"monitor" is also a type of ship, which is a low freeboard heavily armed vessel. Classic examples of "monitor" are those of US Civil War.
