Re: SMS Beowulf
It's a beautiful drawing!
It also harkens back to another age, obviously. It's remarkable to look at this little turtle-tank of a ship and think of it as a seagoing warship, crammed to the gills with nearly 300 men. Clearly it is of an era when human labor was cheap compared to industrial products. Consider how much of an incredible pain in the ass it would be to maintain anything in a hull so cramped... but yet, everything is so simple anyway because manpower is such a fundamentally important tool.

Re: SMS Beowulf
Indeed it's absolutely glorious.
If steampunk had a flagship, it would be based on this.
I'm also telling all the boys doing period AU ships to take a look at these hull side details for inspiration.

Re: SMS Beowulf
As one of charguizard's aforementioned "boys doing period AU ships" I can confirm that this will be a very influential design for details. It's a very fine drawing!

Nice drawing DP.
Would it be ok to add your main turrets to my parts sheet? If so could you possibly send me a clean version?!
