Of course an actual sniper using a "smart" optic must learn how to shoot, because things like the batteries running out of charge or the optic breaking could happen

Of course. Sorry, I just had a very negative view of the guys from Tracking Point at the rifle range (we saw them several times out there). For military applications, sure it makes sense. For civilians at a gun range? It seems a bit like cheating to me.

There is much more than a fair amount of truth in this sentence.
I've lost count of the number of times I've seen folks who have bought brand new rifles and top dollar optics and expect to get ten rings on every trigger pull.
Basic marksmanship skills apply to all shooting disciplines must be regularly practiced to stay proficient. Without those skills, having the latest optics will be of little extra help hunting, competitive shooting, or in a gun fight.

After a careful examination of wartime smg, the SB Arsenal choose the soviet PPD 42 as basis for the postwar smg. With a sturdier right folding wire butt, a 36 cartridge magazine for 9 mm Parabellum, a wooden forward handgrip just behind the magazine, a perforated jacket surrounding the barrel and a rather crude but effective compensator, it was (I think! ) an effective weapon. Cheers.

After some years with WWII era sniping rifles, in the mid 1950s SB Arsenal instead looking forward, picked a design of the past as basis of the new rifle for snipers. A SB Mle. 25 rifle was cuted to half stock, was chambered to the new 7.62 x 51 NATO ammo, and gets a heavier barrel and a cheek rest, It was a standart weapon in the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Police well until the 2000s. Cheers.

Credits: Colosseum was the original artist of the KAR 98 (SB. Mle. 25) and of the scope. I tried to mimic Darth Panda's bipod for the L86 lmg. Thanks to both of you. Special thanks to Thiel: the "theory" is almost as important as the drawing!

Fantastic for shooting steel plates on a range from a bench rest with bipod and rear monopod with all of your fat and rich friends - I wonder how all these fancy electronics, lithium batteries, and micro-computers would hold up in the mud and dust of actual combat?

After seeing how irritated and worried they became when some of our brass got within 6 feet of them, I think I know the answer...

If I was a billionaire testing that, I would've said, "This is a plastic toy gun I found at Wal-Mart."

Eventually, the Marines will not be learning how to fire and M16 with iron sights at more than 300 yards, but more like using this at the same distance.

The Saint Barbara Arsenal K2065 carbine features a bayonet lug that accepts the M9 bayonet or other compatible bayonets. The M9 bayonet is still the standard bayonet of the Alexandria NUN Army and Alexandria NUN Marine Corps in 2070.

Nice weapon Judah, it looks very ergonomic! (and forgive me for a copy without permision: we shared the same name for the Arsenal of our AUs). One question about your bayonet: Is the handle metallic or plastic? Cheers!
