Stunning, love the paint job on the bottom E-3. That would also suit the KC-135

Thanks guys.

A few more things... not super interesting, but required for any airforce... heavy airlift and more tanking capability:

North Point operates a fleet of 16 C-17As for strategic airlift. Two were shot down during the war in Questers:

Fanta has recently taken delivery of several A330 MRTT to fit the rest of its Airbus-based AWACS/tanker/transport fleet:

The Fantasian A319 AEW&C (thanks to Garlicdesign for this one):

An Su-25 configured for SEAD operated by the Qarabid Empire (a large, desert country along the lines of Imperial Iran or Turkey):

Nice work, but it should be 'Fantasische Luftwaffe'. At least as long as you use real world German as their language.

Ah, OK. The guy who plays that country told me you're right and I made a typo. I'll have to fix it later.

While we have your expertise in German, what would you call an AWACS squadron? Previous AEW&C squadrons from this airforce used the term "Fernaufklarungsgeschwader", which I believe means "long range reconnaissance" but I don't think this fits. Unfortunately the modern German air force does not operate AWACS so I can't base the Fantasian airforce off any existing German name.

I'm also curious about aerial refuelling squadrons. Currently I am just using "Lufttransportgeschwader" (translating in English to "air transport wing" roughly), since in USAF service the tankers are part of the air mobility wings, but the Fantasian Luftwaffe would likely have its own dedicated tanker squadrons like the USAF (which operates Air Refueling Squadrons).

Thanks!

Two very good questions. As our tankers are part of the Flugbereitschaft, we don't have a proper term for this kind of air wing, but I think 'Luftbetankungsgeschwader' would be fine as it translates into 'Air Refuelling Wing'

The AWACs might be a bit tricky. I think the Luftwaffe would just put them into a 'Aufklärungsgeschwader' but another more precise name could be 'Luftraumüberwachungsgeschwader' (air space surveillance wing).
