IAR-316
A Romanian Airforce IAR-316: An Aloutte III produced under licence in Romania. Production started in 1971 and ended in 1987, and was part of Ceaușescu's attempts to have much more independence within the Eastern Bloc than other nations, as well as having good relations with the West (Which he succeeded at). This aircraft is in service in the post-1989 period, the photo I based it from being taken in the 2000s at some point (it was posted on a message board in 2008).

@Ortiz5
I have some doubts about shape of the hump on SMT.
@Mcjl10
Something tells me that Allouette III could only benefit if someone (like Garlicdesign who already did a great work with Allouette II, Puma and Super Frelon) would update/redraw it. Back in the day Glorfindel made a commendable effort to draw it, but by now, that drawing looks dated.

Thank you for the feedback eswube. Would you perhaps have any suggestions for me?
Here are some of the reference images I used when making the further enlarged spine of the SMT variant of the standard MiG-29M:

And I'd say the hump is longer:
On Your drawing (and source) it "ends" roughly over main undercarriage. Photograph shows it extends well between vertical stabilzers.

eswube, thanks for the suggestion and the wonderful photo. I did some editing with help from your photo! And now time to display what I ended up with and determine if it is any better.eswube wrote:And I'd say the hump is longer:

Just a fun little fact about the KMAX is that my unit, VMX-22 is slated to test and evaluate the capabilities and performance of this autonomous unmanned aircraft in the near future and that it's official military designation will be the CQ-24A.
