They have some specific background, historical etc. or just are simple recognition strips without any deeper meaning?

Laid down: 1910. Launched: 1911. Commissioned: 1912.
Named Ukrainian rivers:
Desna, Dnister (Dniester), Dunay (Danube), Prut (Pruth), Pripyat, Ros, Tisa (Tisza), Ingul (Inhul).
Displacement: 1 050 / 1 270 t.
Dimensions: 88,8 x 9,0 x 3,8 m.
Machinery: ]: 2 steam turbine Parsons, 3 boilers, 2 shafts, 28 000 shp = 33 kts. Range: 900 m at 33 kts, 2000 m at 21 kts. Bunker 350 t oil .
