Sebu: If you're referring to the complex stabilizer configuration, it's the real Type82's, not something Blackbuck has conceived himself. I know, since I was the one bringing that issue up when Hood presented the drawing the first time!

Btw, Blackbuck; very nice iterations, similar to my Aquitanian versions of the French Suffren-class!

Sebu. It's all to do with their high metacentric height. The Counties from which Bristol's hull is derived shared the problem.

Impressive if somewhat naked looking, for the first time I've realised just how big the T82 was!

Bristol really was and sort of still is a brute. Not much of a looker though!

The inevitable Rothesay and Leander spam is about to start or at least be going on over Christmas.
* Based upon a real proposal for a stretched broad-beam Leander with increased crew accommodation (and I imagine more bunker capacity). Four tranches spread over the best part of a decade for 36 ships.
* The last ones would get Mk.22s for the then strategy of Tartar/SM-1 spam...
* Y.100 > Y.130 > Y.160 as OTL Leanders. Limbo is supplanted by SVTTs as early as possible
* Sea Falcon (AIM/RIM-26) supplants Seacat until the advent of Sea Sparrow
* GCM-AO3-1 (-3 standing in for it for now)

The end result is somewhat of an amalgam of Van Speijk River and Leander...

More to come soon.

Take whatever you need. I'm quite happy to have a more powerful Ireland flanking me :P
