Quick kit-bash for fun: Short Sturgeon meets Miles M.39 Libellula and as a result we get the Miles Sturgeon, tandem wing torpedo bomber.

I was thinking the same.

I guess that the historical background for some of these airplanes could be explained if Italy had been neutral during WW2...
An interesting variant would be Ghnome-Rhone (s) on the French bird, or maybe a Wright on the US planes. It would in the latter case have the poor old Brewster Buffalo beat all to heck.
