Whale catchers?

#1 Post by Paulbrevik »

Hello! New here, and just wondering if anyone has some good drawings of a whale hunting ship. Specifically looking for the Hvalur class of Iceland´s fleet. Saw an image from the old forum, but tried to click on it to get a better look and ´404 not found.´ Thanks for any help

Hvalur Icelandic for Whale... If I remember correct!

If I remember correct Hvalur class was a batch of boats build in Norway and sold to Iceland.

a similar Norwegian version but as patrol boat here in Norway (back in the days)

probably the best documented one is DS Falkland, it's an Norwegian one...:

There are some nice stuff in here, it's in Norwegian, but I believe it's not a problem for you.

Hvalur 3 was done by our member Scifibug if I remember correct, he might still have it in his archive...

Lykke til!
