I know, it still looks like nothing, (and I think most of you won't like it anyway) but I couldn't stand that this epic piece of anime history wasn't in this thread.... and ALVAMA's yamato give me the last hint to start :D

that's true, but that's one of the later movie versions, basicly a 'super space yamato' with 5 main turrets and so on..... I am doing the original anime's version. :D

I ask of you to prove me wrong. Not say I am wrong, but prove it, because then I will have learned something new.

@ace

Would that be the UN aircraft carrier Asuka II or the Anti-UN submarine Auerstädt?

I can't remember ever seen a sideview or another suitable elevation of them.

Would be a hard job.

That's a... vivid shade of blue.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error

that would be the asuka, as there is some data of that one...... I have images from the artbook.... one of those images is an sketchy side drawing, so it is possible....
the auerstädt is on my list too, but that one is even harder :D

Well, maybe this is helpful.

Asuka II: http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrosszero/asuka.htm

Auerstädt: http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrosszero/auerstadt.htm

Both are among my favourite Anime ships. The Asuka will be quite a challenge. It's about the size of a Ford class, but with all the stealhy features and the massive island it won't be easy.
