Paul, it's been drawn already. This is AU.

The Dassault F.8 is awesome!
The backstory and the camouflage schemes are both excellent. AU at its best!

Same high quality as we're used to, Garlicdesign. Great job on the drawings, but equally impressive is how you've written such a convincing history behind it too. Keep up the good work!
Within the newly independent Republic of Catalonia, a new airline emerges principally serving regional routes between Catalonia and Spain, as well as other European destinations. Following secession from Spain, a good deal with Airbus for A320 family aircraft seems unlikely, whilst the Catalan government is also keeping to the policy of distancing themselves from the United States, so there will be no 737's either. However, with fast growing competitive regional jet industry, Catalonia still has plenty of choice - Embraer E2 of Brazil, Bombardier CSeries of Canada and Sukhoi SSJ100 of Russia. Whilst mainly a political decision, Catalonia opts for a fleet of the more than capable Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft on highly favourable terms, and bringing with it the beginning of plenty of Russian investment into Europe's newest state.

Thanks eswube!
As an aircraft manufactured in both Germany and the United States, the Fairchild Dornier 728 became a popular aircraft for US regional airlines for whom a 737 was too large an aircraft. One start-up airline in 2003 was Lone Star in Texas who chose the 728 for their new high frequency Texan state-domestic services and other American city destinations. Lone Star has primary bases at Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio airports and now has a strong market share of flights across Texas and to other destinations in the US.

Re: FD AU 2
India was the largest export customer for the BAC TSR.2, ordering 84 airframes for Air Force (60) and Navy (24) in mid 1970's. About 70 assembled locally from Hindustan Aeronautics by British and Australian manufactured parts, while some other made by Hindustan Aeronautics. Modernized airframes still are in service, while Pakistan answer to Indian TSR.2 came in late 1980's...
I did this mostly because the TSR.2 became one of my favorite British aircraft after I first read about it back in 1997. The design "dates" from previous summer. Also an Iranian TSR.2 is posted somewhere from me, while German, Australian and Swedish are waiting.

Slowly reworking a lot of things, but I did this near-historical livery* for HA's VC.10 Supers:
*Text and tail are borrowed from the real world DC-8s.
