Wow, those are nice looking Turks, I didn't know the Turks operated the 102.

Yes they did, they had two squadrons. Real Hellas had one.
In my AU scenarios Turkey had 4 squadrons of F-102, while Hellenic Kingdom did not operate the type.

I guess if you give them to Turkey you have to give them to Greece.

Now I have to wrote my AU Air Forces fighters in both sides of Aegean in 1960's and 1970's.klagldsf wrote:I guess if you give them to Turkey you have to give them to Greece.

In my scenario Turkey acquired F-102 within the MAP program, while Hellenic Kingdom acquired F-104G (5 squadrons) to replace the F-84F and proceed with the indigenous fighter-bomber R-57. From MAP the HLK acquired together with the F-104G two squadrons of F-86D and about 70-80 F-86E were modified domestically to carry AIM-9B/D missiles (as Taiwan did). Later in late 1960's four squadrons of Mirage IIIE ordered. In early 1970's HLK ordered also 36+18 F-4E(H). The F-86 fleet passed to Autonomous Territories Air Guard and phased out in early 1980's. Also Turkey received half a squadron of RF-101A for reconnaissance missions together with RF-5 (also they had RF-84F).
Turks acquired also many F-100D/E/F and also F-100G with AGM-45 Shrike in 1970. This led to the development of the DARE-A/J electronic system. Finally , Turkey ordered F-5A/B and in late 1970's F-5E\F. They ordered F-4E too, in 1975.
P.S 1 From the real Hellenic F-102 the colors are useful to me because there are correct "Vietnam" colors of the RHAF.
P.S 2 Please keep comments about these two Air Forces (AU) for the separate thread dedicated to them (coming soon) and keep up with many other wonderful aircraft drawings.
P.S 3 The only common thing between Hellenic Kingdom (AU) and real Greece is the language, please do not refer to real Greece.
