Welcome back!
The only thingutibu springs to mine is the 20mm guns. There's a new to scale version on the latest US parts list. The one you're using is almost twice the size of the real thing.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.

Didn't I mention? All my sailors are supermen and giants and need the oversized guns ....

new version huh? ok, I'll get that d-loaded.

EDIT: also, I'm not particularly happy with the radar mast, so if anybody has an idea for something, I'm all ears.

Much nicer, and not so cobbled together looking as the one I threw together last night (early-early this morning?) Thanks.

Looks interesting so far, one thing I'd worry about though is manning that foremost 6pdr group in heavier seas.

Well, you're rather short on directors for the 40mm guns. Right now you have three on each beam, most of which aren't particularly well situated.
The British carriers of the same timeframe seems to have had one director for each gun. Given the amount of guns you're carrying that may not be possible, but I'd still try to get at least another three or four in on each beam.
I'd put one of the bow below the flight deck so the two guns there can shoot at crossing targets, two directors in each of the big three mount batteries, one on a small platform at each end of the island and finally I'd put another one on the side of the island.

I'll also ad that I'm not convinced the HACS has enough room to ruen. I can't remember how long the arms are though.
